Giant pit Bull He is STILL growing! Weighing in at a jaw-dropping 175 lbs, 18-month-old Hulk may be the world’s largest pit bull.
But despite his intimidating size and the reputation of pit bulls as vicious and uncontrolled, owners Marlon and Lisa Grannan say that Hulk is incredibly sweet. The Grannans three-year-old son, Jordan, even rides Hulk and sometimes sleeps with him.
He’s a wonderful, excellently trained dog, Grannan said. He plays with my kid, he’s great with the family and he’s so, so sweet.
Because of Hulk’s size, his videos have gone viral on international social media, with people talking about his amazing size and how friendly he seems. He has been featured in outlets such as ABC News, Fox, and BuzzFeed.
Grannan says that the negative reputation pit bulls get are not because of the breed itself, but because of bad training on the part of the owners.??Because Pit Bulls are only in the media when bad things happen, this myth of them as monsters gets perpetuated, but it’s not true. They might not be for everyone, but under a good leader and with proper training, they make amazing family and work or protection dogs.
‘These dogs are very balanced and gentle – they are nanny dogs,’ he said.?’I don?t think it?s irresponsible for people to have pit bulls and children. They?re dogs just like any other dog.?’No matter what the breed it is, it is hundred per cent how you raise them.
However, Mr Grennan acknowledges that a dog the size of the Hulk ‘could kill someone if it was in the wrong situation at the wrong time’ and ‘snap an arm like a toothpick.’ The Grennan’s dog is almost three-times bigger than a normal American pit bull terrier.?He is also still a puppy meaning he could grow even bigger. Each day he is fed a protein-rich diet consisting of supplements and 4lbs of ground beef. The Grennans believe the bigger the dog, the better.
